Clubs need funds to operate. AoW Inc. is a Not For Profit organisation that was created to allow those passionate about archery to enjoy their sport and to introduce the sport to others. Archers of Warrnambool is a community organisation that can only be successful with the involvement of the community – YOU.

There are costs associated with setting up an incorporated club, such as incorporation fees, purchasing an Internet domain name, stationery, printer cartridges and much much more.

That is what your membership goes toward. However there is so much more your membership provides that is not costed. For example:

The time the committee puts in to attend meetings is not costed – no committee members are paid.

The design, maintenance, hosting and updating of the website is provided free by the committee.

The cost of telephone calls made by all committee members to local, STD and mobile numbers is not costed.

Vehicle costs associated with undertaking AoW business is not reimbursed, nor is traveling time taken to conduct aforementioned business.

Your membership will also allow the club to buy equipment to assist new archers, and also replace consumable items such as target butts and target faces.

Your membership is what will provide this organisation with an ability to grow and move forward. We are currently building a field course which we hope will be open in the near future, all labour has been donated, but the club will have to buy timber, screws, paint etc. to build the course. Your membership will help pay for that.

Family membership includes 2 adults and as many children as you may have in your immediate family. Please check with our treasurer or with Archery Australia and/or 3DAAA for your total membership with the appropriate governing body.

You are required to join one of the two governing archery bodies, who provide insurance for you when at the range or at another club. This is a prerequisite and is mandatory however you may choose to join either Archery Australia and Archery Victoria or the 3D Archery Association of Australia.

Talk with other members and the committee (in particular the treasurer) to help you decide which governing body is best for you.

Please note:
Range fees of $10 per session apply to all casual members and must be paid prior to shooting as is equipment hire of $5 per person if applicable.
