Club Coaching Clinic @ Archers of Warrnambool

Every Friday that Archers of Warrnambool Indoor League is not held, there is a coaching clinic at the club.
This is strictly for members only and is in a one-on-one format. Members helping other members with their form to improve their scores and all round shooting.

Beginners to Archery

Take part in one of our beginners courses.
We have regular sessions that do not require pre-booking.
Saturday mornings are from 11:00am to 12:30pm.

You can attend a maximum of 3 sessions before you will be required to join the club. You can also join after fewer sessions if you would like.

When you attend one of these classes you get:
* Bow Hire
* Insurance
* Instruction on correct use and safety
* Your first 3 sessions are free

We ask that parents do not leave their children whilst they are having instruction ( we hope the parents will join in)

Safe foot wear is essential. No open toed shoes. Flat soles only (no high heels)
Also please do not use headphones or ear buds whilst shooting.

Indoor Club Shoot @ Archers Of Warrnambool

AoW conducts indoor archery at the Duram Park Sports Complex, 200 Buckley’s Road, Allansford, Victoria 3277
This facility boasts 12 indoor targets which can be shot at 18m.

Archers of Warrnambool conducts indoor archery on Tuesday nights.

Non-competition (club nights) is shot on Tuesday evening. Non-competition shooting is free for AoW members and attracts a range fee of $5 for non-members. Shooting commences from 5:00pm.

Friday Night League

The Friday Indoor League competition operates on Friday evenings with practice starting at 6:00pm. There are four competitions (Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring) each year shot over ten weeks, with a two week break between comps. Non-competition shooters are welcome but must vacate their lane if required to accommodate competition archers.

Fees for Competition Nights are: 

  • Initial on off $10 entry fee for all competitors
  • Free for AoW members
  • $5 for non-members

All Archers shooting on Friday nights must be a member of an Archery Australia or 3DAAA affiliated club.

AoW Indoor League – Autumn Comp. @ Archers of Warrnambool
Apr 10 @ 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Shooting is the second and fourth Friday of every month with practice starting at 6pm at our newly refurbished indoor range, Duram Park, 200 Buckley’s rd, Allansford.

The indoor league starts at 8:00pm sharp and comprises 2 Australian Indoor 18m Rounds with points awarded in each division in the following format;

Highest Score in division – 10 points
2nd Highest Score in division – 8 Points
3rd Highest Score in division – 6 Points
All other archers in the division receive 4 points.

After each archer has completed 6 rounds, their average score will be calculated and they will be placed in either A, B, or C grade, depending on their average. The following formula will be used;
Average 230 and above – A Grade
Average between 150 and 229 – B Grade
Average 149 and below – C Grade
Each competition runs for 3 months and shooters are awarded points based on both attendance and performance.

All AA and 3DAAA members are encouraged to come along and participate, regardless of your level of expertise. Competition at club level is an exiting and fun way to improve your shooting and builds camaraderie between clubs.
